If you’re not sure whether your desires are from Him, then say, “Lord, I believe You have put this desire in my heart, so I’m asking You for it. But I can be happy without it, because I am happy with You. Now it is up to You to do whatever You want to do.”
Above all, remember that we are to be led by peace. No matter how much we may desire something, if we don’t have peace deep in our hearts about it, then it is not right for us.
